MaryPIRG's Hunger & Homelessness Project had a Focus Date Food Drive, and it was incredibly effective! On Friday night in front of the North Campus Diner, about 10 MaryPIRG Volunteers gathered over a hundred pounds of fruit, bread, cereal, bagels, and muffins for the DC Central Kitchen. Over 200 University of Maryland students helped donate all this food! This Food Drive is the first of many Focus Date Food Drives that MaryPIRG is going to put on throughout the semester.
